On the 22nd January, 2020 released the first invitation of 201 applications for the permanent residency scheme. All the accepted applications need to have a CRS score of 350 and above. This was pretty in line with earlier patterns but people were not expecting what happened the next week.
Just one week later on the 29th of January, 2020 Alberta issued another notification of 150 applications inviting people with scores as low as 300 in the comprehensive ranking system. There are basically three types of programs being run by the Canadian government – the federal skilled workers’ program, the Canadian experience class, and the Canadian skilled trades program. All the applicants which gets provincial nomination from Alberta will get an additional 600 points which will be added to their overall CRS score. With the addition of these scores, it will make sure that the candidate will surely get an invitation in the subsequent draw conducted by the government. This is the biggest benefit of the Alberta Express Entry stream as it helps everyone with low CRS scores to obtain Canadian permanent residency.
The minimum scores to be eligible for the program 300 CRS. The best thing that happened this time was that candidates with the minimum eligibility scores were also invited for the program. The latest Federal Express entry scheme requirement was 472 scores in the CRS. This requirement was released on 5th of February 2020.
